Upon my return from Vancouver I decided to tag along with my Aunt and her friends and see some of what Canada has to offer in the way of scenery. As you can see from the photos there is a variety of landscapes from flat praries where we live, to mountain ranges and glacier ice fields. Everywhere here is much more spaced out that at home, for example a day trip usually envolves a ten-hour return drive with 4-5 hours of exploring squished in the middle.
I also mmanaged to get to the local rodeo. The photo illustrates a calf that has been lassooed.

Ben -your sound like you are having a great time. Coincidently, i think i may have stayed in the same YHA in Vancouver nearly 30 years ago! the pictures are also very familiar. Saw you Mum & Dad yesterday-all seem fine-I'm sure they miss you! Cathy & I spent a week in Cornwall and had a glorious time -it was good to have a bit of R & R. Keep the diary updated -its interesting to keep track of your expeditions! Uncle Philip
